Dr Rosie Barker BVetMed MRCVS
Originally from Kent, Rosie is our clinical director and head vet. She qualified as a vet in 2007 from the Royal Veterinary College in London. Rosie is currently studying for a certificate in veterinary cardiology and has interests in backyard poultry and small animal surgery. When she is not at work she enjoys going out running. Rosie currently has a dog and three rescue cats.
Dr Rebecca Dixon BVM&S MRCVS
Rebecca grew up in Selkirk in Scotland. After qualifying as a vet from Glasgow University, she moved to Suffolk for a job in the countryside. Rebecca enjoys all aspects of her job as a general practitioner. When she isn’t working she enjoys reading and walking her dog, Harley.
Dr Harriet Hall MRCVS
Harriet graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2016. She has a keen interest in small animal surgery and researched correction of patellar luxation in dogs as her final year elective. In her spare time she enjoys running, cycling, hiking and going on travels with her partner who is also a vet.
Dr Emma Rigby VetMB MA(Oxon) PhD MRCVS
Emma grew up in Staffordshire and spent several years in the Yorkshire Dales studying bats before qualifying as a vet from the University of Cambridge in 2016. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, but is particularly interested in internal medicine. In her spare time she enjoys running, baking and spending time by the sea.
Dr Emma Tarbun BVetMed CertAVP MRCVS
Emma grew up in Southwold, left to go to the Royal Veterinary College and graduated as a vet in 2008 before returning to work at our Southwold branch. She has a CertAVP with a strong dermatology bias and enjoys all skin related issues. Emma has a busy family life outside of work, likes spending time with friends and will look for any excuse to eat cake and drink tea!
Dr Lydia Williams BVM&S MRCVS
Lydia was born in Suffolk and went to Edinburgh University, qualifying as a vet in 2014. She then worked in Newmarket with racehorses for a year before returning home to work at Castle. Her veterinary interests include rabbits and surgery, preferably together! Lydia has Bob and Flossy the rabbits; Betty, Murial and Edith the guinea pigs; Rita the ex-racehorse and her 25 year old Exmoor. When Rita is fit, Lydia takes her eventing. She also plays for a successful netball team.
Dr Michail Zavlaris DVM PhD MRCVS
Michail was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. He qualified as a vet from the Veterinary School of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki and has an interest in internal medicine. Michail spent five years researching canine mammary tumours at a veterinary pathology laboratory before joining ‘an excellent and very friendly team’ at Castle Vets. Outside of work Michail enjoys arts in all their manifestations, going to the theatre and exploring any museum he can find. He also enjoys 80’s music. Michail has a rescue dog called Elsa.
